Madison entered the world on July 21,2005. She arrived in a dramatic fashion and has continued to be dramatic. Following a hard labor and eventual emergency c-section she came home with us. She was an instant hit with our 2 dogs, Oreo and Casper. When we would burp her, Casper would become very upset with us. She thought we were hurting "her" baby. Madison was the youngest of the grandchildren, just 6 days younger than her cousin Daniel. With such a large family there has never been a dull moment or a lack of babysitters.
The first year proved to be the toughest. She was colic, never wanted to burp for me, never slept (although that still has not changed), and the only person she really would burp or stop crying for was grandpa. She has always had us wrapped around her little finger from the day she was born. She has always been very independent. She reached each milestone before they said she should and has caught on quite quickly to everything.
The terrible 2's were just that. With her independence, she never wanted to be held back. When she didn't get her way she would throw terrible temper tantrums. On the floor, rolling around, screaming and kicking was her way of letting her feelings be shown. At first she didn't talk a whole bunch, well anything that we could understand, but the moment she figured it out she hasn't stopped talking.
Now at 3 years old she is busier than ever. Always talking, always making stuff for me, and always trying to figure out stuff. She gets into stuff she shouldn't but she is very curious. Everyone always talks about how smart she is, how articulate she is, and how beautiful she is. She makes me so proud. She does preschool at her daycare and is learning so much there.
She loves to sing me songs, especially the I love you song. She tells me all the time that I'm her "best friend ever" and that she loves me so much. It's so wonderful. I know it won't stay like this forever but I'm loving it while it lasts.
Well I guess that is all for now.
